Welcome to The L Factory Blog

Your Driving Lessons should be an enjoyable and straightforward process when you follow our Structured Training Program. We also include Full Access to Theory Test Pro to prepare for your theory test. You won't need to buy any books or DVDs as ALL the latest questions and Hazard Perception Test Videos are included in the cost of the lessons. Your driving lessons will have a clear objective and you will understand what you are trying to achieve. There won't be any aimless "driving around" without a specific purpose. When you make a mistake we will clearly explain what that mistake is and how to fix it.

Many Driving Instructors fail to fully explain how to correct a mistake during your Driving Lessons. This can lead to frustration and the need to take more driving lessons. It will then take you longer to learn and take more of your hard-earned cash. We're proud of the positive customer reviews and recommendations  we receive. Our style of teaching is student-centred helping you to learn in a way which suits YOU. With some of the best and most up-to-date teaching and recap methods using live video we will help you to gain your Full Licence and become confident driver. Building that confidence starts from day one with us.

You are more than welcome to join us and take Driving Lessons at The L Factory where hundreds of local students have passed their tests. I'd like to personally wish you every success with your driving. From Karen Smith, Owner of The L Factory

8 Success Steps to a First Time Pass

  • 1.Be consistent with your lessons

Be consistent with your lessons and try to take a weekly lesson. The students who take regular two-hour lessons learn SO much quicker and in general take fewer hours to pass their test. By doing this you will get more out of every lesson and see progress every time you take a lesson. THIS WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY.

  • 2.Be Prepared for Your Driving Lessons

    • 2.Be Prepared for Your Driving Lessons and aim to get the most from every lesson. Be alert and in the right frame of mind.
  • 3. Every lesson should begin with a RECAP

    3. Every lesson should begin with a RECAP of the previous lesson. Your Driving Instructor should be asking you questions to check your understanding of the previous lesson. This way you can continue in a way that is best for YOU.

  • 4. The Lesson Objective

    4. The Lesson Objective is possibly the most important element in your progress. You and your Driving Instructor will together agree on the specific aim for the lesson. This is absolutely vital and EVERY lesson must have a goal to help you move forward. Driving around aimlessly is a waste of your time and money

  • 5. Your Driving Lessons should be Structured

    5. Your Driving Lessons should be Structured and you should always be encouraged to develop your skills. Your Driving Instructor should be asking questions to check your understanding and encouraging you to ask questions. This is an extremely important procedure as you become more responsible and move towards driving independently.

  • 6. Summary of your Driving Lesson.

    6. Summary of your Driving Lesson. A review of the Driving Lesson will help you to retain the new skills and knowledge gained. You and your Driving Instructor together can then decide what you may like to do on the following lesson in order to progress.

  • 7. Self-evaluate and Be Honest with Yourself

    7. Self-evaluate and Be Honest with Yourself , are you still making mistakes during your lessons? Many students do not pass their test because they are not driving consistently before the test. Ask yourself how confident you feel before going for the practical test. Driving inconsistently before the test can lead to anxiety on the day.

  • 8. Listen to the Advice of your Driving Instructor

    8. Listen to the Advice of your Driving Instructor. They are highly trained and experienced in assessing when you are ready for the test and safe to drive independently after the test. They are professional and honest so it would be wise to take their advice.
